VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), the International Clarinet Association is requiring ClarinetFest® 2022 performers and attendees (including minors, volunteers, staff, guests, contractors, and vendors) to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations may be granted.
You will therefore be required to show proof of vaccination in order to pick up your badge on-site. The ICA will not store information about your vaccination status; a visual check of your documentation will be completed by our registration staff. Vaccination is a vital tool to reduce the presence and severity of COVID-19 cases. The ICA has adopted this policy on mandatory vaccination to safeguard the health of our members from the hazards of COVID-19.
As part of helping all participants stay safe and healthy, all registrants must adopt the following practices:
-
Your vaccination documentation MUST clearly demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated according to the current CDC definition, meaning it must show your vaccination type and date(s) so that our registration staff can confirm that you have received your second dose of a two-dose vaccine, or your first dose of a single-dose vaccine, at least 14 days before arriving on-site at the event. If you are eligible, we highly encourage you to obtain your booster. We will accept all COVID-19 vaccines that have received Emergency Use Authorization or full approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the World Health Organization (WHO).
-
-
Official CDC or Vaccination Card from Country of Residence (international attendee)
-
A digital vaccination record issued by a government body, healthcare provider, or authorized COVID-19 vaccine administrator, either displayed on your smart device or printed out
-
A third-party app that validates your vaccination record with a government body, healthcare provider, or authorized COVID-19 vaccine administrator (such as the SMART Health Card or Common Pass
-
If you have any concerns about whether your proof of vaccination meets the above criteria, please email EDO@clarinet.org BEFORE the event so that we can better support you.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT CLARINETFEST® 2022
The ICA requires all persons above the age of two years old to wear a well-fitting mask that covers their nose and mouth while at all ClarinetFest® 2022 events inside the Peppermill Resort. The CDC and TSA strongly recommend surgical-style masks such as N95 and KN95 over cloth face coverings. The ICA requests that attendees protect one another by wearing these types of masks while attending ClarinetFest® 2022 if possible. Bandanas and neck gaiters will not be permitted at ClarinetFest® 2022.
PERFORMER AND PRESENTER EXEMPTIONS
-
When on stage for performance, conductors and performers may remove their mask for performance. They must reapply their mask immediately upon leaving the stage.
-
Convention presenters may remove their mask when actively presenting during ClarinetFest® 2022.
CLARINET ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES
-
Due to the limited space available on stage, the ICA strongly encourages large ensemble performers to wear a musicians’ mask designed to allow the mask to remain on while playing. Otherwise, performers must wear their mask at all times when not actively playing (during long rests, breaks, etc.). These masks can be purchased at various retailers. Examples can be viewed at the links below.
