ClarinetFest® 2022 will take place in Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA, June 29-July 3. The Artistic Leadership Team – Christy Banks, Joshua Anderson, Soo Goh, and Jessica Lindsey – looks forward to presenting a wonderfully diverse and comprehensive program centered around the theme of Connecting People, Ideas and Cultures.

ClarinetFest® 2022 will be held at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, a Four Diamond AAA property. A free round-trip shuttle service will be available to take conference attendees directly from the Reno International Airport to the Peppermill Resort. For those traveling by car, the Peppermill has provided free parking (valet or self-park) with your hotel room reservation.

The conference will feature performances by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra as well as emerging and established artists in solo and ensemble settings. The conference site will provide ample space for events and exhibits all in one convenient central location. The Peppermill is offering ClarinetFest® attendees several different price points for onsite lodging; there are nearby hotels to choose from as well. Additionally, the conference site has a variety of restaurants on the property. The city of Reno offers world-class entertainment and dining options within the city and is just a 30-minute drive to the beautiful Lake Tahoe resort area.

CLARINETFEST® 2022 COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

After consulting with our legal team, we will be asking ClarinetFest® 2022 attendees, artists, staff, and exhibitors to adhere to the COVID-19 Safety Protocols outlined below. 

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK: 

By attending ClarinetFest® 2022, you acknowledge and fully understand the risks associated with contraction of the COVID-19 virus and other contagious diseases and agree to attend this event at your own risk. You expressly acknowledge that COVID-19 is highly contagious, and infection can result in serious illness and death. You acknowledge the risk of infection and transmission are higher in indoor facilities, that there are no safety precautions that eliminate the risk of contracting COVID-19, and that individuals with various underlying medical conditions may experience worse outcomes. You acknowledge you derive personal satisfaction and a benefit by virtue of your participation in ClarinetFest® 2022, and you are willingly attending ClarinetFest® 2022. Irrespective of the steps taken by the Company regarding COVID-19, you understand that participation in ClarinetFest® 2022 could increase your risk of being exposed to and/or contracting COVID-19. Notwithstanding the risks associated with COVID-19, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in ClarinetFest® 2022 with knowledge of the danger involved. You hereby agree to accept and assume all risks of illness, personal injury, psychological injury, pain, suffering, property damage, and/or financial loss related to COVID-19, arising from your attendance at ClarinetFest® 2022, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the company or otherwise. 

VACCINATION REQUIREMENT

The conference organizers request that only fully vaccinated people (as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) attend ClarinetFest® 2022 in person. Attendees are expected to follow all CDC, state of Nevada, and the city of Reno public health orders, guidelines, and policies in place at the time of the conference.

Please present your proof of vaccination at registration when you pick up your badge.

Please note: All attendees will be required to sign a COVID-19 Safety Waiver before receiving badges.

JUNE 8, 2022 UPDATE: MASKS ARE ENCOURAGED BUT NOT REQUIRED AT CLARINETFEST® 2022

Based on the current recommendations of the CDC, the state of Nevada, and the city of Reno, masks will not be required at ClarinetFest® 2022. However, the ICA encourages all persons above the age of two years old to wear a well-fitting mask that covers their nose and mouth while at all ClarinetFest® 2022 events inside the Peppermill Resort. The CDC and TSA recommend surgical-style masks such as N95 and KN95 over cloth face coverings. The ICA suggests that attendees protect one another by wearing these types of masks while attending ClarinetFest® 2022 if possible. We will have masks available at registration for those who do not bring their own.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES

  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory illnesses, please do not attend ClarinetFest® 2022.

  • Communicate with all appropriate parties if you test positive for COVID-19 prior to the event.

  • When trialing equipment in the exhibit hall, attendees should adhere to all trial procedures set forth by each individual company including the signing of waivers.

  • Wash hands or use hand sanitizer frequently when available.

  • Stay informed of local county and state health guidelines for the state of Nevada.

  • Failure to adhere to the above guidelines may result in removal from the premises and the termination of your ClarinetFest® 2022 registration without refund.

The ICA is excited to announce that room reservations for ClarinetFest® 2022 in Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada USA, are now open. ClarinetFest® 2022 will be held June 29-July 3, 2022 and discounted room rates are available beginning June 27 if you wish to arrive early.

Getting to the Peppermill from Reno-Tahoe Airport

The Peppermill features an easy and convenient airport shuttle, which departs from the valet area outside the Hotel Lobby, and runs every half-hour beginning at 4 am. The last shuttle departs from the Peppermill going to the airport at 11:30 pm. In addition, the airport shuttle departs from the airport going to the Peppermill every half-hour beginning at 4:15 am, and continuing to 11:45 pm. This shuttle picks up at the North Exit of the Baggage Claim area.
