2023 Low Clarinet Festival Composition Competition Call for Scores

The ICA seeks new works for one low clarinet (alto clarinet, basset horn, bass clarinet, and contra-alto and contrabass clarinets) and one other instrument, 5 to 15 minutes in length. Questions about instrumentation can be directed to the Low ClarinetFest planning committee. To be eligible, compositions must have been completed between January 2020 and present, and must not have been performed previously at ClarinetFest® or had a live in-person performance with an audience.

The deadline for the competition is October 1, 2022; the winner will receive a $1,000 prize sponsored by Dr. Glenn Deibert and a featured performance of their work at the ICA Low ClarinetFest® 2023 in Glendale, AZ. The composition winner will also have the opportunity to have their work published by CAMco.
