Dear ICA Members,
The ICA is sad to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Scott on June 7, 2018. Bob was a kindhearted man who was also a genius and amazingly skilled clarinet repair man, mouthpiece craftsman, and ligature maker among many other wonderful qualities. He worked with the greatest clarinetists and has become known as a legend.
The ICA would like to pay tribute to this amazing person in an article in the forthcoming issue of The Clarinet. We ask that anyone who would like to contribute to this article please send their remembrances and any available images to Jessica Harrie at [email protected] so that she may compile the statements and stories of Bob’s admirers.
We’d like to have any submissions by July 6, 2018, so that the tribute can be printed in the September issue.
