“What Stumps You About the Clarinet?” with guest Dr. Kimberly Cole-Luevano, presented by the ICA Pedagogy Committee and hosted by committee member Dr. Kylie Stultz-Dessent.
Dr. Kimberly Cole Luevano has established herself as a formidable soloist and chamber musician. She is currently Professor of Clarinet and Chair of the Division of Instrumental Studies University of North Texas. She was a member of the clarinet faculty at the Interlochen Arts Camp from 2003 to 2012, and has performed at the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest on numerous occasions. Dr. Luevano has several recordings, some of which are “Bright Angel” (2013) and “Atonement” (2015), TrioPolis One (2017). She has studied with Keith Lemmons, Guy Deplus, Alain Damiens, Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, and James Gillespie.
During this session, Dr. Kimberly Cole-Luevano will answer questions from the audience about things that challenges them about the clarinet.
