ICA Seeks Applicants for Executive Assistant
About the Role:
The ICA seeks an Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. This position is primarily remote, however, due to the nature of the work, the individual must be located in the United States and have the ability to manage the physical address, including the mailing and banking needs of the organization.
Official hiring of the Executive Assistant will be done by the ICA Board of Directors. The Executive Assistant will work closely with the ICA Board of Directors and staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination in support of the ICA’s mission. This position offers valuable professional experience and an opportunity to help ensure that the ICA continues to meet the expectations of its members and industry partners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-3 years experience working in an arts administration setting
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Industry knowledge related to the clarinet
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage US-based mail and banking obligations of the ICA
- Ability to coordinate and manage the Jessica Harrie Instrument Donation Program
Desired, but not required:
- Experience with event planning, periodical publications and social media platforms
- Grant writing experience and skills
Job description: Executive Assistant
- Maintain the ICA’s US-based business address, which includes mail and banking
- Manage and coordinate the Jessica Harrie Instrument Donation Program including receiving donations and shipping these items to repair professionals and students in need
- Serve as the first point of contact via the ICA’s Grasshopper phone line
- Assist with social media management
- Assist with grant writing and fundraising efforts
- Coordinate with event planning teams (ClarinetFest®, LowFest, etc)
- Coordinate with ICA Social Media Committee, Editor, TCO and Newsletter editors, ICA Committee Chairs, and others as needed
- Work closely with the Executive Director to regularly seek out new advertisers and manage existing advertising contracts
- Complete additional tasks as needed at the discretion of the ICA Board and Executive Director
Pay:
Based on experience and qualifications, starting at $12,000-$18,000 with an average of 12-15 hours per week with greater commitments during conference and event weeks.
