LOW CLARINET FESTIVAL 2023
The first ever ICA Low Clarinet Festival will take place at Glendale Community College, in Glendale, Arizona, January 5-8, 2023. Glendale is part of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and is only a 20-minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This coincides with the 50th anniversary of the International Clarinet Association and will be a celebratory event marking the growth of the ICA and the rise of low clarinet enthusiasts around the world.
This four-day event will feature:
- Solo and chamber performances featuring low clarinets (alto clarinet, basset horn, bass clarinet, and contra-alto and contrabass clarinets)
- Masterclasses
- Presentations/Clinics
- Low Clarinet Choir
- Exhibits with sheet music, instruments, mouthpieces, reeds, ligatures, cases, repair stations, and everything low clarinet!
This event is open to anyone who loves low clarinets and wants to spend some quality time with other low clarinet enthusiasts. Come and meet fellow low clarinetists from around the world!
This event is organized by the ICA New Music Committee and the 2023 Low Clarinet Festival Planning Committee: Jason Alder, Jeff Anderle, Lara Diaz, Stefanie Gardner, Michael Lowenstern, Marco Antonio Mazzini, Jonathan Russell, Stephan Vermeersch, and Sarah Watts.

The prices for participant registration are as follows:
General Registration – $75.00
Artist/Student/Senior/Military Registration – $50.00
Youth Registration (MS/HS Students Only) – Free Admission
Exhibitor Booth Prices are as follows:
Single booth (one 6ft table and 2 chairs) – $300.00
Double booth (two 6ft tables and 2 chairs) – $500.00
