“Performing the Music of Brahms With a Historically Inspired, Creative Interpretation”

with Dr. Carl Galland

Topics discussed and demonstrated will include: rubato affecting pulse, rubato without affecting pulse, flexible tempos, improvisatory phrasing, interpreting the musical markings of Brahms, and the performance style of Brahms.
