Every clarinet teacher has found a way to explain to their students the fundamental principles that result in making a focused and resonant tone. Sometimes these explanations are greatly detailed physical descriptions, and other times brief, condensed reminders.
I have found that fun and silly imagery drawn from pop culture and our shared human experience is a very effective and memorable way to remind students quickly about the three most important fundamental techniques that go into making a focused and resonant clarinet tone: Air, Voicing, and Embouchure.
“ClarineTron to the Rescue!” will provide teachers and students of all levels with unique and memorable imagery along with the pedagogy behind it.
