Xeriscape was commissioned and recently premiered in San Angelo, TX for the reopening of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts (2023) and is inspired by the landscapes of both the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts.

Cats’ Conundrum, a fiery tour de force for reed quintet, was a joint commission by Paradise Winds and Novus Reed Quintets and named after the playful cats residing at Joshua and Stefanie Gardner’s house.

 

Following this performance, Thomas Piercy, chair of the ICA New Music Committee, will offer a few words in closing!
