“Vocalization: an introduction to singing and playing”
Clarinetist/composer Nicholas Chesemore holds a clinic on the technique of singing and playing, which will provide tools for learning and developing the technique in a healthy and efficient manner.
Participants will learn several effective vocal warmups, exercises for first developing the technique on the instrument, and more advanced exercises for improving intonation and developing voice-instrument independence. There will also be discussion of methods to ensure healthy practice which minimizes voice strain while maximizing projection.
