New Music Lunch and Learn: Demystifying Copyright with Jay Berger and Daniel Dorff

Jay Berger worked for 15 years in popular music licensing before joining Carl Fischer and Theodore Presser as in-house counsel. Jay will cover many topics including: how individuals and organizations obtain licensing permission and why this is important, copyright protections as applied to music, and how to protect your own copyrights and earn royalties. Jay will also discuss legal principles specific to the music industry and take questions from participants. Jay will be joined by ICA member Daniel Dorff, a composer and clarinetist who has managed the Theodore Presser publication department for over 30 years.
